It should be fairly obvious that you must measure the right things!

Adequate means your results are good enough to show the correct pattern.

Results are usually inadequate to get 6 marks because either;

record the evidence

All measurements and observations must be recorded. Always organise your results into a neat results table. Make sure you include the units for everything.
e.g. Time(seconds), length(cm)
