collect appropriate evidence (observations or measurements)

It should be fairly obvious that you must measure the right things!

...which is adequate for the activity

Adequate means your results are good enough to show the correct pattern.

Results are usually inadequate to get 6 marks because either;

• there are too few (4 sets or less),
• or they are not very accurate (poor method or lack of care),
• or the results haven't been repeated.

record the evidence

All measurements and observations must be recorded. Always organise your results into a neat results table. Make sure you include the units for everything.
